I don't know how to express how I'm feeling without coming off as being insensitive, so here we go. I've been in Carbondale for 3 years now, and it has just dawned on me that the majority of the people who are down here are probably mentally deficient in some way. I know that almost everyone feels this way about where they live, but no, I'm serious.

Like for instance, right now, some moron is singing at the top of his lungs simiarily to that of how a dying cat would sound. Are you really that dumb that you don't know that you suck? Or take for example, the guy who walks around in headphones singing anime songs at the top of his lungs, or one of my friends who repeats everything you say quietly under her breath. Or how about the girl who thinks that a look similar to leaving a barbie out in the sun for several days to bake is a good idea. Or how about the other girl who thinks that just because she has ADD she's a genius. Everytime I see someone that I think is even the least bit normal, they have to go and rock the boat. And just to clarify, having personal problems like depression, or social anxiety is normal. I'm pretty sure everyone has those issues, but here we are dealing with a paradox that I don't think I've ever encountered before in my life. I never claimed that I was the most hip, or smart, or whatever, but seriously, I don't understand it.

I dunno. have you ever encountered something like this? Am I just the crazy one? I don't know, but I'll be glad as hell to leave.
